DOWNLOAD.CNET.COM virus scan positive!
Re: DOWNLOAD.CNET.COM virus scan positive!
I've reported the sample to all companies that have a false detection based on the last report of virustotal. Hope in Tue we will have some results. If after a week the result will be unsuccessful, then we will have to repeat submission.
I think you won't have to report the sample after releasing of each new version. Protected files contain Comodo digital signature, signature of Enigma Protector's license, and once antiviruses white list these signatures you won't have any problems anymore.
Let's now wait to see results.

You should have now much less false detections (or maybe do not have them at all), many antiviruses reported me that detection had been solved.

Re: DOWNLOAD.CNET.COM virus scan positive!
I just checked my install file on virustotal.com and it's getting the same number of positives, 11/42:

My actual program file dropped from 11/42 positives to 9/42:

I'm allowing myself 1 virustotal.com scan of my installation file a day. It is inching lower, it is down to 6/42 now, half of what it started out as! Keeping my fingers crossed and being patient.

Yes, much better. Need also re-submit the file to Ikarus, and this will solve the problems with Ikarus itself and Emsisoft.

The number of false positives is slowly dropping, but I noticed that Comodo now lists it as 'UnclassifiedMalware'. Did you submit my file to Comodo?
Re: DOWNLOAD.CNET.COM virus scan positive!
No, I did not, as far I remember. Comodo did not detect nothing. Will submit it soon.

I am also getting a false positive from Symantec, kind of a big name. Did you submit to them as well?

Yes, I see that i am down to 3/42 now. What's the deal on AntiVir? Some of the reports online say that it is just a scam virus scanner that is extremely aggressive on detecting false positives so it can sell product. Is that a legitimate product?
