Keygen suggestion

Post by samsonite131 »

You guys should think about making your keygen DLL open-source.

If it's based on RSA, then there's nothing to hide, and nothing that an adversary can use to exploit or weaken the security.
There is nothing there that they already know.

And if you let your users re-compile the source, it can help eliminate compatibility problems in the future.
Just look at the VMProtect people. Their keygen is based on RSA, and it's totally open-source.

Of course, if your keygen is written in Borland Delphi pascal, then I don't think users will be able to do much with the source. Ideally, it should be written in C/C++.

Hi,

Yes, we had/have plans to make the keygen open source, but it would take much time to implement it.

Keygen does not use RSA, it uses ECC (Elliptic Curve Cryptography), moreover, to meet our needs it is customized.
Btw, RSA does not allow to produce short registration keys, however, ECC do allow this, without increasing of the constants size.

Just to note, we will reply you regarding problem with .net keygen asap.
