Hi I made simple test and same .exe protected with "Run-time integrity checking " enabled of the Control Sum, when running the protected .exe when idle (.exe is doing nothing ) the .exe give peaks of 9% of cpu for one second then a second later of 0% cpu and so on, the average cpu use is 5% only for enabling this option.
if not enabled, when idle the .exe, cpu remains 0%
Does it worth it, this option?
Thanks
Control Sum with Real-Time
Re: Control Sum with Real-Time
It worth to use if you worry that cracker may change code of your application in memory.
If this does not much matter for you, for eg, if you are interesting only in licensing features, or if you protect the most critical parts of code with virtual machine, then you may skip this protection feature.
