How to use Data from default folder

Hello Everyone,
I want to make an app portable and use its data from default folder.
Let me clear what I want to say- I want to make a app portable (named myapp.exe) and whenever I open the app it create its data folder (named myappdata) on my %appdata% folder and use its data from there, I want that the app use it data from its default folder just like other vmware thinapp means I want to paste myappdata folder on apps default folder and when app wants that folder it read and write it from default folder not from %appdata% folder ,Is it possible? If yes then How ,please explain.
