So you need a dialog to enter registration key? Why not use the option Registration Features - Registration Dialog?

The length of hardware id can be specified in Enigma Protector - Registration Features - Hardware Lock. More selected options produce longer hardware id.

Please note, as for the license keys, hardware id also unique for every project.

I think it is not too hard to edit project file to change the values. So you can create a new protection project and replace just these virtual box constants from old project file.
