Switching Versions (x32, x64)

Post by catalin00 »

Hi! we've been using Enigma on a 32-bit product, and now we would like to start building a 64-bit version as well. Of course, we would buy the 64-bit version of Enigma for this. Our concern is related to license keys. Will we be able to use the same keygen for both versions? And will our 32-bit users be able to switch to 64-bit without having to replace their license keys? We tried to test this with the trial, but it is impossible, as the trial seems to use the default encryption values even if we open our custom .enigma project.

Hi, yes, this is possible to do.

Just copy .enigma file with the extension .enigma64 and x64 version of Enigma Protector will open it and both protected file will use keys of each other.

The only one problem you may have is a registration dialog. If you use this feature (Registration Features - Registration Dialog) make sure that it works for x64 version well (dialog shows well), just test it out. If it does not work or crashes, let me know, I will tell you a workaround.

We are not using the built-in registration dialog, as we designed a custom one and implemented it in our product.

If so, you won't have any problems with the way I described.
